| The Chester County Fire Chiefs Association joins our local community, our law enforcement colleagues, our fire service family, and the many family and friends of Pennsylvania State Police Corporal Timothy J. O'Connor, Jr. who was tragically killed in the Line of Duty on Sunday, March 8th, 2026 in West Caln Township, Chester County.
Corporal O'Connor was a 15-year veteran of the State Police; serving out of both the Avondale and Embreeville Barracks here in Chester County. Prior to his service to the Commonwealth, he joined the West Chester Fire Department in 2003 as a member of the First West Chester Fire Company.
Corporal O'Connor's selfless service to the community as both a volunteer firefighter and a Pennsylvania State Trooper was evident to all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him.
Service information for Corporal O'Connor is as follows:
The services will be held at St. Joseph Parish, located at 338 Manor Avenue in Downingtown. Public viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, March 17th from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 18th at 11:00 a.m.at the same location; however, this service will be closed to the public.

In addition to Corporal O'Connor's family, friends, and colleagues, please continue to keep our fellow responders and partners in law enforcement and the fire and EMS personnel who responded to the emergency incident that evening as they continue to work through these very challenging and highly-emotional times.
