You're cordially invited to a screening and release gala for my debut short film, Clean Getaway, at The Note in West Chester on April 14. It's about 3 friends who come up with a get-rich-quick scheme to sell homemade soap balls at their local Laundromat, and of course, that plan goes horribly, entertainingly wrong. It's a lighthearted romp through the angst of finding yourself.
The best thing about this event is that all proceeds will be donated to the family of Captain Chris Good, the West Chester firefighter who lost his life in the line of duty last November, leaving behind his wife and 3 children. Tickets are only $10, and you can purchase them online at thenotewc.com (scroll down to Clean Getaway), or buy them at the door on April 14.
Your $10 ticket price gets you so much more than just a movie screening: there will be a reception beforehand from 6-7, and afterward there will be a gala, featuring music, dancing, refreshments, and merriment. A cash bar will be available all evening.
Can a Laundromat get-rich-quick scheme really save three friends from themselves?
You may be asking, "What should I wear to a movie screening and release gala?" It's "Black Tie, loosely interpreted." Basically, wear whatever you want, but at least the entire cast and crew will be dressed to the nines, and arriving in style! It's a great time to grab some friends and dress up, or be comfy in your favorite jeans and t-shirt.
