The Officers and Members are pleased and proud to announce that Firefighter Tim McDonnell, who was injured in yesterday's building fire at Lincoln University, has returned home from the Christiana Hospital.
Firefighter McDonnell fell into the basement through a burned out hole in the first floor during fire suppression efforts. He was quickly located and removed by the crew of Ladder 21. Once outside, he was treated and transported by EMS Crews from Oxford and SCCEMS to the Christiana Hospital where he was kept overnight for observation.
Tim was released today, with no restrictions, and greeted by a crew with Engine 21-1, the same Engine that he rode to the fire yesterday.
The crew of Captain BJ Meadowcroft, Lieutenant Win Slauch, and Firefighter Tim Greene accompanied Firefigther McDonnell back to the "First Due" where he was greeted at the Mid-Town Station by several anxious members, including some of the crew that removed him from the basement.
