Subject: Sheetrock with metal in the metal

One of our Adjunct Instructors, who is also an engineer shared the attached photos and this link http://www.quietrock.com/drywall.html.

This sheetrock is being used as sound proofing in newer homes and no doubt would cause some challenges to the fire service.

It is basically sheetrock with a piece of metal sandwiched between two sheets of sheetrock.

Please pass this along to others.
