MDC Software Approval Procedure

Any departments with software approval requests should contact the chief’s association technical committee and submit the following pertinent information.

Application name.

Software manufacturer.     

Software version.

Planned usage.

Once reviewed by the technical committee a copy of the software will need to be submitted along with proof of a valid user license so that CCDES can evaluate it for conflicts with the MDC operating system and primary function of Motorola Tx Messenger.

 

Once a software application has been reviewed an fully approved a valid user license must be provided to CCDES technical prior to installing on an MDC.

 

To install approved software utilize your stations administrator user name and password to install the application.

 

Remember that you are responsible for any repairs or reprogramming that should arise from the use of third party software not originally provided on the county hard drive image.

 

It is strongly recommended that any user data be stored on an external device such as a USB flash drive. In the event that CCDES updates or repairs your unit they are not responsible for any lost data.
