| The Ridge Fire Company regrets to announce the passing of Past Chief Linwood Kolb on Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Chief Kolb served as a Life Member of 55 years and a Chief Officer for 47 years. Chief Kolb held the positions of Chief Engineer (1953), Assistant Chief (1954-1959), Fire Chief (1959-1989), and Deputy Chief (1989-2001). Over the 30 years that Linwood Kolb served as Fire Chief he had advanced the company in countless ways.
There will be a viewing from 6pm to 8:30pm on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at the Vincent Mennonite Church 39 Seven Stars Rd, Spring City, PA. 19475. A viewing will be held on Monday, January 23, 2012 from 9am – 10:30am with a funeral service at 11am at the Vincent Mennonite Church. Procession and internment will follow.
