Chester County Fire Training is holding the following two training classes:
BASEMENT FIRES
DESCRIPTION: The modern residential basement may be packed with electronic equipment and furnishings. A basement fire can present serious challenges for responding firefighting crews. This 16 hour course addresses the important issues such as size-up, strategy, tactics deployment and safety that fire officers and firefighters must address to safely and effectively extinguish a fire located in a basement.
PREREQUISITE: A certificate indicating a live fire training program (i.e. SBS, ZSFB, ELIF) or Fire Fighter I Certification.
FEE: $100.00 per student.
CERTIFICATION: Chester County Public Safety Training Center certificate will be issued upon successful completion of this course.
REQUIREMENTS: Full turnout gear including SCBA with spare cylinder.

Ryan Pennington’s Hoarder Homes: Piles of Hazards for Firefighters DESCRIPTION: Fighting fires in hoarded homes is rapidly becoming a familiar occurrence in today's fire service. While the mission is still the same, the tactics used when fighting these fires need to change to make for a safer environment. This presentation will put you in the first due unit arriving at a reported structure fire inside a Hoarded home. From hoarder recognition to salvage and overhaul, students will be exposed to the different thought process used while fighting fires in hoarded homes. "Hoarder Homes: Piles of Hazards for Firefighters", will return you to quarters with the knowledge and tools to come home safe!
FEE: $75.00 per student. (Includes light breakfast and lunch)
CERTIFICATION: Chester County Public Safety Training Center certificate of attendance will be issued upon successful completion of this course.
