DUE TO AN OVERALL TIME CHANGE TO THE EVENT WE WILL BE LEAVING THE GOODWILL FIRE COMPANY AT 0715 HRS

The Fifteenth Annual Red Helmets Ride will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2013. All bikers are invited to participate in this show of support for America's fallen fire heroes and their survivors.

This year one of Chester County's own will unfortunately be added to the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Emmitsburg, MD

In order to show our support to Captain Chris Good Family and the Goodwill Fire Company of West Chester the Red Knights Chapter 2 of Chester County are asking for your support.

On Saturday October 5 2013 we will be meeting at the Goodwill Fire Company in West Chester at 0800 KSU 0830 we will be traveling to the Wawa at Route 10 & 30 in Parkesburg were we will meet additional members and guest at 0900 KSU from there at 0930, from Wawa we will go straight up 30 to the Battlefield Harley Davidson in Gettysburg were we meet up with additional Red Knights.

Battlefield M/C will also have JR'S Cafe selling food & drinks. They will also be providing FREE their annual Corn Roast from 11am-5pm.

Erik Estrada, "Ponch" from the 1970 TV show "Chips" will be signing autographs for Make-A-Wish from 10am-4pm. www.battlefieldharley-davidson.com click on events, and then October 2013.

We will depart Gettysburg at 115 and head to Walkersville Volunteer Fire Department (79 West Frederick Street) parking lot in Walkersville, MD this is where the Red Helmet Ride begins.

The Police escorted ride to the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Emmitsburg, MD will leave at 3:15 p.m. This is a rain or shine ride all will ride at your own risk. No registration is required, just ride and show your support to the families of the Fallen Firefighters.

A nice showing from the Chester County area Motorcyclist would be a great tribute to Captain Chris Good and a great show of support to his immediate and extended family.

Cov'T Shutdown Could Bar Families From Memorial.

Please read the story at the very bottom of the article. If the campus is closed, motorcyclists involved in the Red Helmets Ride will go to the hotels in Gettysburg where the families are staying.

I just spoke to Tomy Baker, this ride is "ON" rain or shine and if the Gov't is on Shutdown.
